Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Mouse u-T4 concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with u-T4. During the reaction, u-T4 in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of u-T4 on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to u-T4. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of u-T4 in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.
Samples: Serum, Plasma, Biological Fluids
Assay Type: Competitive
Detection Range: 0.78-50ng/mL
Sensitivity: Min: 0.47ng/mL; Max: 50ng/mL. Mouse U-T4 (Ultrasensitivity Thyroxine) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit.
