Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Intended Uses: This immunoassay kit allows for the in vitro quantitative determination of human Protein S100-B concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.
Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Protein S100-B. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotinconjugated polyclonal antibody preparation specific for Protein S100-B and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Protein S100-B, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzymeconjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzymesubstrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of Protein S100-B in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates and cell culture supernates and other biological fluids
Detection Range: 15.6 pg/ml - 1000 pg/ml
Sensitivity: less than7.8pg/ml. Human Protein S100-B ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. Brain Diseases, Brain Injuries, Brain Ischemia, Cardiovascular Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Heart Diseases, Hemorrhage, Inflammation, Necrosis, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Human Protein S100-B ELISA Kit. S100-B also interacts with the following gene(s): AHNAK, ANXA6, APP, GFAP, IQGAP1, S100A1, STK38, TP53.
