Description: The kit is a competitive enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of PTD in Chicken serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with Chicken PTD. During the reaction, Chicken PTD in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of Chicken PTD on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to Chicken PTD. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of Chicken PTD in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Samples: Serum, Plasma, Biological Fluids
Assay Type: Competitive. Chicken PTD (Pentosidine) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Blood, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Ganglia, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Muscle, Skin, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein. Bjornstad syndrome, Fetal Death, Fetal Growth Retardation, Fibrosis, Finnish lethal neonatal metabolic syndrome, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Liver Cirrhosis, Liver Diseases, Mitochondrial Complex III Deficiency are some of the diseases may be linked to Chicken PTD (Pentosidine) ELISA Kit. PTD also interacts with the following gene(s): LETM1, UQCRFS1.
