Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Principle of the Assay: The ELISA is based on the competitive binding enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to PKC-gamma, During the reaction, PKC-gamma in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of biotin-labeled PKC-gamma for sites on a pre-coated Monoclonal antibody specific to PKC-gamma. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of PKC-gamma in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids.
Assay Type: Competitive
Detection Range: 0.78-50.0 ng/ml. Bovine Protein kinase C gamma type ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain, Kidney tissues are correlated with this protein. PRKCG also interacts with the following gene(s): HRAS, KRAS, MTOR, RHOA. Ataxia, Brain Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Hyperalgesia, Inflammation, Mental Disorders, Nervous System Diseases, Pain, Spinocerebellar Ataxias, Spinocerebellar ataxia 14 are some of the diseases may be linked to Bovine Protein kinase C gamma type ELISA Kit.
