Typical Standard Curve/Testing Data
Intended Uses: The kit is a competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique for the in vitro quantitative measurement of PINP in rat serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to PINP has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled PINP and unlabeled PINP (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to PINP. After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of PINP in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of PINP in the sample.
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids
Assay Type: Quantitative Competitive
Detection Range: 246.9-20,000pg/mL
Sensitivity: Typically less than 92.4pg/mL. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level PINP were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level PINP were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV(%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%. Procollagen I N-Terminal Propeptide (PINP) Instant ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit.
