The Human PCX pc (Catalog #MBS2505148) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MBS2505148 ELISA Kit recognizes Human (General) PCX.

The PCX pc product has the following accession number(s) (GI #251823980) (NCBI Accession #NP_001156418.1) (Uniprot Accession #Q05920). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given elisa kit. We\'ve tested the Human PCX (Podocalyxin) ELISA Kit with the following immunoassay(s):
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only) PCX.

Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Human PCX concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with PCX. During the reaction, PCX in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of PCX on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to PCX. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of PCX in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

Samples: Serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Assay Type: Quantitative Competitive
Detection Range: 0.156-10ng/mL
Sensitivity: 0.094ng/mL. Human PCX (Podocalyxin) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Kidney, Liver, Muscle, Pancreas, Skin tissues are correlated with this protein.
