Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given elisa kit. We\'ve tested the Goat Pancreatic Amylase ELISA Kit with the following immunoassay(s):
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only) PAMY.

Principle of the assay: PAMY ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-PAMY antibody and an PAMY-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with PAMY-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the PAMY concentration since PAMY from samples and PAMY-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-PAMY antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by PAMY from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind PAMY-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The PAMY concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type: Competitive
Sensitivity: 0.1 ng/mL. Intended Uses: This PAMY ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Goat PAMY. This ELISA kit for research use only, not for therapeutic or diagnostic applications!. Goat Pancreatic Amylase ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit.
