The Chicken OXB hcrtr2 (Catalog #MBS2508881) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MBS2508881 ELISA Kit recognizes Chicken (Gallus, General) OXB.

The OXB hcrtr2 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #194018676) (NCBI Accession #NP_001123423.1) (Uniprot Accession #O62809). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Intended Uses: This ELISA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Chicken OXB concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: This ELISA kit uses Competitive-ELISA as the method. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with OXB. During the reaction, OXB in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of OXB on the solid phase supporter for sites on the Biotinylated Detection Ab specific to OXB. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate, and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of OXB in the samples is then determined by comparing the OD of the samples to the standard curve.

OXB hcrtr2

Samples: Serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Assay Type: Quantitative Competitive
Detection Range: 1.563-100ng/mL
Sensitivity: 0.938ng/mL. Chicken OXB (Orexin B) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. OXB also interacts with the following gene(s): HCRT. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
