Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Intended Uses: For detection of MCP-2 in human serum, plasma, urine, tissue samples or cell culture supernates. For research use only.
Principle of the Assay: This kit was based on standard sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. The purified anti-MCP-2 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the HRP conjugated anti-MCP-2 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and HRP conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, mixed and incubated, then, unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates (A & B) were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the MCP-2 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of MCP-2 can be calculated
Background/Introduction: Monocyte chemotactic protein 2 (MCP-2), also known as Chemokine (C-C motif) ligand 8 (CCL8), is a CC chemokine that utilizes multiple cellular receptors to attract and activate human leukocytes. CCL8 is a small cytokine belonging to the CC chemokine family. It is a potent inhibitor of HIV-1 by virtue of its high-affinity binding to the receptor CCR5, one of the major co-receptors for HIV-1. It elicits its effects by binding to several different cell surface receptors called chemokine receptors. These receptors include CCR1, CCR2B and CCR5.
Samples: Human Serum, Plasma, Urine, Tissue Samples Or Cell Culture Supernates
Assay Type: Sandwich
Detection Range: 30pg/ml-1000pg/ml
Sensitivity: <10pg/ml. MMP-2 (Rat) ELISA or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. Aortic Diseases, Bone Diseases, Breast Neoplasms, Colorectal Neoplasms, Disease Progression, Heart Diseases, Inflammation, Necrosis, Neoplasm Invasiveness, Neoplasm Metastasis are some of the diseases may be linked to MMP-2 (Rat) ELISA. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Artery, Brain, Connective Tissue, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Heart, Lung, Muscle, Placenta, Prostate tissues are correlated with this protein.
