The Human LEPROT leprot (Catalog #MBS7222311) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MBS7222311 ELISA Kit recognizes Human (General) LEPROT.

The LEPROT leprot product has the following accession number(s) (GI #310923132) (NCBI Accession #NP_001185612.1). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given elisa kit. We\'ve tested the Human Leptin receptor gene related protein (LEPROT) ELISA Kit with the following immunoassay(s):
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only) LEPROT.

Intended Uses: This LEPROT ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Human LEPROT.

Principle of the Assay: LEPROT ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-LEPROT antibody and an LEPROT-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with LEPROT-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the LEPROT concentration since LEPROT from samples and LEPROT-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-LEPROT antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by LEPROT from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind LEPROT-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The LEPROT concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.

Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type: Competitive
Detection Range: 0.5-10ng/mL
Sensitivity: 0.1ng/mL. Human Leptin receptor gene related protein (LEPROT) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. Blood, Brain, Eye, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lymph, Muscle, Ovary, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein. LEPROT also interacts with the following gene(s): LEPR.
