The Mouse Lep lep (Catalog #MBS2885529) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MBS2885529 ELISA Kit recognizes Mouse (Murine, General) Lep.

The Lep lep product has the following accession number(s) (GI #6678678) (NCBI Accession #NP_032519.1) (Uniprot Accession #P41160). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

(Or you can also download the PDF Manual for complete product instructions).

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given elisa kit. We\'ve tested the Mouse Leptin ELISA Kit with the following immunoassay(s):
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
 Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only) Lep.

Intended Uses: This immunoassay kit allows for the in vitro quantitative determination of target antigen concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to target antigen. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific for target antigen and then avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain target antigen, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of target antigen in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates or other biological fluids
Detection Range: 0.312-20 ng/mL. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-Assay CV: <=5.7%
Inter-assay Precision: Inter-Assay CV: <=7.9%. Mouse Leptin ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. Cardiovascular Diseases, Fatty Liver, Hyperinsulinism, Inflammation, Insulin Resistance, Liver Diseases, Obesity, Pain, Weight Gain, Weight Loss are some of the diseases may be linked to Mouse Leptin ELISA Kit. Adipose Tissue, Bladder, Bone Marrow, Brain, Mammary Gland, Salivary Gland, Skin, Thymus tissues are correlated with this protein. Lep also interacts with the following gene(s): Ghrl, Il6, Irs1, Jak2, Lepr, Socs3, Stat3. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
