The Human LEP lep (Catalog #MBS2532681) is a CLIA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MBS2532681 CLIA Kit recognizes Human LEP.The LEP lep product has the following accession number(s) (GI #4557715) (NCBI Accession #NP_000221.1) (Uniprot Accession #P41159). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given clia kit. We\'ve tested the Human LEP (Leptin) CLIA Kit with the following immunoassay(s):
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Intended Uses: This CLIA kit applies to the in vitro quantitative determination of Human LEP concentrations in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.
Principle of the Assay: This CLIA kit uses the Sandwich- CLIA principle. The micro CLIA plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Human LEP. Standards or samples are added to the micro CLIA plate wells and combined with the specific antibody. Then a biotinylated detection antibody specific for Human LEP and Avidin-Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) conjugate are added successively to each micro plate well and incubated. Free components are washed away. The substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain Human LEP, biotinylated detection antibody and Avidin-HRP conjugate will appear fluorescence. The Relative light unit (RLU) value is measured by the Chemiluminescence immunoassay analyzer. The RLU value is positively associated with the concentration of Human LEP. You can calculate the concentration of Human LEP in the samples by comparing the RLU value of the samples to the standard curve.
Samples: Serum, plasma and other biological fluids
Assay Type: Quantitative Sandwich
Detection Range: 31.25-2000pg/mL
Sensitivity: 18.75pg/mL. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Human LEP were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively.
Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, mid range and high level Human LEP were tested on 3 different plates, 20 replicates in each plate. LEP also interacts with the following gene(s): GHRL, IL6, IRS1, JAK2, LEPR, PPARG, PTPN1, SOCS3, STAT3. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Adipose Tissue, Blood, Connective Tissue, Intestine, Mammary Gland, Mouth, Muscle, Placenta, Thymus tissues are correlated with this protein.
