We\'ve tested the Lipoarabinomannan ELISA Kit with the following immunoassay(s): Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only) ()
Principle of the Assay: The ELISA is based on the competitive binding enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to Lipoarabinomannan, During the reaction, Lipoarabinomannan in the sample or standard competes with a fixed amount of biotin-labeled Lipoarabinomannan for sites on a pre-coated Monoclonal antibody specific to Lipoarabinomannan. Excess conjugate and unbound sample or standard are washed from the plate. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB substrate solution is added to each well. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of Lipoarabinomannan in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Assay Type: Competitive Detection Range: 0.31-20.0 ng/mL. Sensitivity: The minimum detectable dose of General Lipoarabinomannan is typically less than 0.08 ng/mL.The sensitivity of this assay, or Lower Limit of Detection (LLD) was defined as the lowest protein concentration that could be differentiated from zero. Intended Uses: This immunoassay kit allows for the in vitro quantitative determination of general Lipoarabinomannan concentrations in serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell culture supernates, and other biological fluids. Lipoarabinomannan ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. |
