Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to HPV17-Ab-IgG. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated HPV17-Ab-IgG and incubated. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled HPV17-Ab-IgG and unlabeled HPV17-Ab-IgG with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of HPV17-Ab-IgG in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Samples: Serum, Plasma, Other biological fluids
Assay Type: Competitive ELISA. Sample Volume: 1-200 uL
Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay)
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays)
Three samples of known concentration were tested in forty separate assays to assess inter-assay precision.
CV (%) = SD/meanX100
Intra-Assay: CV
Inter-Assay: CV
Detection Wavelength: 450 nm. Human Anti-papillomavirus type 17 IgG antibody (HPV17-Ab-IgG) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit.
