Principle of the assay: Granulins ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-Granulins antibody and an Granulins-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with Granulins-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the Granulins concentration since Granulins from samples and Granulins-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-Granulins antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by Granulins from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind Granulins-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The Granulins concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type: Competitive
Sensitivity: 1.0 pg/mL. Chicken Granulins ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. GRN also interacts with the following gene(s): CCND1, CCNT1, CHMP2B, MMP12, SLPI, TARDBP, VEGFA. Blood, Bone, Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Heart, Liver, Lung, Muscle, Nerve, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. Brain Diseases, Dementia, FRONTOTEMPORAL LOBAR DEGENERATION WITH TDP43 INCLUSIONS, GRN-RELATED, Frontotemporal Dementia, Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration, Inflammation, Necrosis, Neoplasms, Nerve Degeneration, Nervous System Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Chicken Granulins ELISA Kit. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
