Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Principle of the assay: FUM ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing a monoclonal anti-FUM antibody and an FUM-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with FUM-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the FUM concentration since FUM from samples and FUM-HRP conjugate compete for the anti-FUM antibody binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by FUM from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind FUM-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The FUM concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type: Competitive
Sensitivity: 1.0 ng/mL. Bovine Fumarase /fumarate hydratase ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. Adenocarcinoma, Brain Diseases, HEREDITARY LEIOMYOMATOSIS AND RENAL CELL CANCER, Heart Diseases, Hypertension, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Mental Disorders, Nervous System Diseases, Pain are some of the diseases may be linked to Bovine Fumarase /fumarate hydratase ELISA Kit. FUM also interacts with the following gene(s): ACO2, ASL, FAH, MDH1, MDH2, SDHB, SDHC, SDHD.
