Intended Uses: The kit is a competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique for the in vitro quantitative measurement of FSH in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. A monoclonal antibody specific to FSH has been pre-coated onto a microplate. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between biotin labeled FSH and unlabeled FSH (Standards or samples) with the pre-coated antibody specific to FSH. After incubation the unbound conjugate is washed off. Next, avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. The amount of bound HRP conjugate is reverse proportional to the concentration of FSH in the sample. After addition of the substrate solution, the intensity of color developed is reverse proportional to the concentration of FSH in the sample.
Samples: Serum, plasma and other biological fluids.
Assay Type: Competitive inhibition
Detection Range: 3.125-200ng/mL
Sensitivity: 1.49ng/mL. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level FSH were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level FSH were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV(%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%. Mouse Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Breast Neoplasms, Hypogonadism, Infertility, Female, Infertility, Male, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Nervous System Diseases, Oligospermia, Prenatal Exposure Delayed Effects, Weight Gain are some of the diseases may be linked to Mouse Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH) ELISA Kit. Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Pituitary Gland tissues are correlated with this protein. FSH also interacts with the following gene(s): Cga, Fshr, Inha, Inhba, Inhbb, Lhcgr, Pitx2.
