Intended Uses: For the quantitative detection of Fish Prostaglandin E2 (PG-E2) concentration in serum, plasma and other biological fluids.
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive inhibition enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to PG-E2. Standards or samples are added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with biotin-conjugated PG-E2. A competitive inhibition reaction is launched between PG-E2 (Standards or samples) and biotin-conjugated PG-E2 with the pre-coated antibody specific for PG-E2. The more amount of PG-E2 in samples, the less antibody bound by biotin-conjugated PG-E2. After washing, Streptavidin conjugated Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to the wells. Substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of PG-E2 in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Samples: Serum, Plasma And Other Biological Fluids
Assay Type: Quantitative Competitive
Detection Range: 25 pg/mL-400 pg/mL
Sensitivity: 25 pg/mL (mean of 6 independent assays). Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay) Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision. Intra-Assay: CV<8%
Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays) Three samples of known concentration were tested in forty separate assays to assess inter-assay precision. CV(%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%. Florfenicol (FF) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit.
