Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Intended Uses: This Anti-CII ELISA kit is a 1.5 hour solid-phase ELISA designed for the quantitative determination of Goat Anti-CII. This ELISA kit for research use only!
Principle of the Assay: Anti-CII ELISA kit applies the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique utilizing Type II Collagen antigen and an Anti-CII-HRP conjugate. The assay sample and buffer are incubated together with Anti-CII-HRP conjugate in pre-coated plate for one hour. After the incubation period, the wells are decanted and washed five times. The wells are then incubated with a substrate for HRP enzyme. The product of the enzyme-substrate reaction forms a blue colored complex. Finally, a stop solution is added to stop the reaction, which will then turn the solution yellow. The intensity of color is measured spectrophotometrically at 450nm in a microplate reader. The intensity of the color is inversely proportional to the Anti-CII concentration since Anti-CII from samples and Anti-CII-HRP conjugate compete for the Type II Collagen antigen binding site. Since the number of sites is limited, as more sites are occupied by Anti-CII from the sample, fewer sites are left to bind Anti-CII-HRP conjugate. A standard curve is plotted relating the intensity of the color (O.D.) to the concentration of standards. The Anti-CII concentration in each sample is interpolated from this standard curve.
Samples: Serum, plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, body fluid and tissue homogenate
Assay Type: Competitive
Sensitivity: 0.1 ng/mL. Goat Anti-Type II Collagen Antibody ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. Cleft Palate, Craniofacial Abnormalities, Hearing Loss, Sensorineural, Inflammation, Kniest dysplasia, Myopia, Necrosis, Osteoarthritis, Osteochondrodysplasias, Retinal Detachment are some of the diseases may be linked to Goat Anti-Type II Collagen Antibody ELISA Kit.
