Principle of the Assay: Acetyl-CoA can react with choline under the catalysis of choline acetyltransferase (ChAT) to produce coenzyme A (CoA), CoA can combine with the 4, 4-dithiopyridine. The activity of ChAT can be calculated indirectly by measuring the OD value at 324 nm.
Samples: Tissues samples
Detection Range: 1.21-40 U/g fresh weight
Sensitivity: 1.21 U/g fresh weight. Intra-assay Precision: The intra-assay CV is 5.0%.
Inter-assay Precision: The inter-assay CV is 9.2%. Brain, Eye, Testis tissues are correlated with this protein. Brain Diseases, Cardiovascular Diseases, Cognition Disorders, Disease Models, Animal, Learning Disorders, Memory Disorders, Nerve Degeneration, Nervous System Diseases, Neurobehavioral Manifestations, Neurodegenerative Diseases are some of the diseases may be linked to Choline Acetyltransferase (CHAT) Assay Kit (Tissue samples). CHAT also interacts with the following gene(s): ACHE, NGF, SLC18A3. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
