Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Product Information: BMP-2 (human) ELISA Kit: Colorimetric Assay for Quantitative Determination of human BMP-2 in Serum, Plasma, Urine & Cell culture supernatants. Detection Limit: less than 45 pg/ml. 100 assays.
Background: MyBioSource\'s Human BMP-2 (Bone morphogenetic proteins-2) ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of human BMP-2. This assay employs an antibody specific for human BMP-2 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and BMP-2 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-human BMP-2 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of BMP-2 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm. The minimum detectable dose of BMP-2 is typically less than 45 pg/ml. The intra-Assay reproducibility is CV<10% & inter-Assay is CV<12%. In this ELISA formate, the pair antibody shows less than 1% cross-reactivity with rhBMP-3, rhBMP-4, rhBMP-5, rhBMP-6 or rhBMP-7.
Summary: Detection method- Absorbance (450 nm)
Species reactivity- Human.
Samples: Serum & plasma, Cell Culture Supernatants, Urine. Features & Benefits: Easy, convenient and time-saving method to assay for human BMP-2.
The minimum detectable dose of BMP-2 is typically less than 45 pg/ml.
This ELISA kit is specific for the measurement of human BMP-2. In this ELISA format, the pair antibody shows less than 1% cross-reactivity with rhBMP-3, rhBMP-4, rhBMP-5, rhBMP-6 or rhBMP-7. BMP-2 (human) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. BMP-2 also interacts with the following gene(s): ACVR2A, ACVR2B, BMPR1A, BMPR1B, BMPR2, CHRD, NOG, SMAD4, SMAD5, SMAD6. Bone Diseases, Breast Neoplasms, Fibrosis, Hypertension, Hypertrophy, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Lung Diseases, Necrosis, Pain are some of the diseases may be linked to BMP-2 (human) ELISA Kit. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Bone, Brain, Connective Tissue, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Heart, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Uterus tissues are correlated with this protein.
