Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the competitive enzyme immunoassay technique. The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to AQP4-Ab. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated AQP4-Ab and incubated. The competitive inhibition reaction is launched between with HRP labeled AQP4-Ab and unlabeled AQP4-Ab with the antibody. A substrate solution is added to the wells and the color develops in opposite to the amount of AQP4-Ab in the sample. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
Samples: Serum, Plasma, Other biological fluids
Assay Type: Competitive ELISA. Sample Volume: 1-200 uL
Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay)
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess intra-assay precision.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays)
Three samples of known concentration were tested in forty separate assays to assess inter-assay precision.
CV (%) = SD/meanX100
Detection Wavelength: 450 nm. Human Aquaporin 4 antibody (AQP4-Ab) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain Diseases, Brain Edema, Cardiovascular Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Edema, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Necrosis, Nervous System Diseases, Neuromyelitis Optica are some of the diseases may be linked to Human Aquaporin 4 antibody (AQP4-Ab) ELISA Kit. AQP4-Ab also interacts with the following gene(s): AQP11, AQP2, GFAP, IL6, KCNJ10. Brain, Embryonic Tissue, Eye, Intestine, Kidney, Lung, Muscle, Nerve, Spinal Cord, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein.
