Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to apo-C1. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated polyclonal antibody preparation specific for apo-C1 and Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. Then a TMB (3,3\',5,5\' tetramethyl-benzidine) substrate solution is added to each well. Only those wells that contain apo-C1, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of a sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450 nm +/- 2 nm. The concentration of apo-C1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.
Samples: Serum, plasma
Detection Range: 0.312 ug/ml-20 ug/ml
Sensitivity: 0.078 ug/ml. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): CV% is less than 8%
Three samples of known concentration were tested twenty times on one plate to assess.
Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): CV% is less than 10%
Three samples of known concentration were tested in twenty assays to assess.
Detection Wavelength: 450 nm
Sample Volume: 50-100ul. Human Apolipoprotein C-I, APOC1 ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. APOC1 also interacts with the following gene(s): APOA2. Bone Marrow, Brain, Heart, Intestine, Kidney, Liver, Pancreas, Placenta, Stomach, Vascular tissues are correlated with this protein. Arteriosclerosis, Atherosclerosis, Cardiovascular Diseases, Dyslipidemias, Hyperlipidemias, Hypertriglyceridemia, Inflammation, Insulin Resistance, Memory Disorders, Obesity are some of the diseases may be linked to Human Apolipoprotein C-I, APOC1 ELISA Kit.
