The Rat APOC1 apoc1 (Catalog #MBS453237) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MBS453237 ELISA Kit recognizes Rat (Rattus, General) APOC1.

The APOC1 apoc1 product has the following accession number(s) (GI #158517799) (NCBI Accession #NP_001103466.1) (Uniprot Accession #P19939). Researchers may be interested in using Bioinformatics databases such as those available at The National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI) website for more information about accession numbers and the proteins they represent. Even researchers unfamiliar with bioinformatics databases will find the NCBI databases to be quite user friendly and useful.

(Or you can also download the PDF Manual for complete product instructions).

Please refer to the product datasheet for known applications of a given elisa kit. We\'ve tested the Rat Apolipoprotein C1 (APOC1) ELISA Kit with the following immunoassay(s):
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only)
Typical Testing Data/Standard Curve (for reference only) APOC1.

Intended Uses: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of APOC1 in rat serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.

Principle of the Assay: The microtiter plate provided in this kit has been pre-coated with an antibody specific to APOC1. Standards or samples are then added to the appropriate microtiter plate wells with a biotin-conjugated antibody preparation specific to APOC1. Next, Avidin conjugated to Horseradish Peroxidase (HRP) is added to each microplate well and incubated. After TMB substrate solution is added, only those wells that contain APOC1, biotin-conjugated antibody and enzyme-conjugated Avidin will exhibit a change in color. The enzyme-substrate reaction is terminated by the addition of sulphuric acid solution and the color change is measured spectrophotometrically at a wavelength of 450nm +/- 10nm. The concentration of APOC1 in the samples is then determined by comparing the O.D. of the samples to the standard curve.

Samples: Serum, plasma, tissue homogenates, cell lysates, cell culture supernates and other biological fluids.
Assay Type: Sandwich
Detection Range: 0.312-20ng/mL
Sensitivity: 0.12ng/mL. Intra-assay Precision: Intra-assay Precision (Precision within an assay): 3 samples with low, middle and high level APOC1 were tested 20 times on one plate, respectively. Intra-Assay: CV<10%
Inter-assay Precision: Inter-assay Precision (Precision between assays): 3 samples with low, middle and high level APOC1 were tested on 3 different plates, 8 replicates in each plate. CV(%) = SD/meanX100. Inter-Assay: CV<12%. Rat Apolipoprotein C1 (APOC1) ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. Brain, Liver, Uncharacterized Tissue tissues are correlated with this protein. APOC1 also interacts with the following gene(s): Apoa1, Apoc2, Apoc3, Apoc4, Apoe. Atherosclerosis, Cardiovascular Diseases, Dyslipidemias, Fatty Liver, Heart Diseases, Hyperlipidemias, Hypertension, Inflammation, Liver Diseases, Memory Disorders are some of the diseases may be linked to Rat Apolipoprotein C1 (APOC1) ELISA Kit. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene.
