Description: Sandwich ELISA kit of Quantitative Detection for Human ANGPTL3
Background: ANGPTL3, also known as Angiopoietin-like 3 or HYPLl, is a protein that in humans is encoded by the ANGPTL3 gene. It is mapped to 1p31.3. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the angiopoietin-like family of secreted factors. It is expressed predominantly in the liver, and has the characteristic structure of angiopoietins, consisting of a signal peptide, N-terminal coiled-coil domain, and the C-terminal fibrinogen (FBN)-like domain. ANGPTL3 also acts as dual inhibitor of lipoprotein lipase (LPL) and endothelial lipase (EL), and increases plasma triglyceride and HDL cholesterol in rodents. It can inhibit endothelial lipase to catalyze HDL-phospholipid and increase HDL-PL levels.

Human ANGPTL3 PicoKine ELISA Kit or ELISA (enzyme-linked immunosorbant assays) Kits in general, are a valuable research tool for a myriad of applications in a range of scientific settings. Currently, three major types of ELISA formats are used by researchers: sandwich, competitive and indirect. Most commercially available ELISA Kits are sandwich or competitive. Commercially available ELISA Kits contain wells that have been pre-coated with the capture antibody. Please refer to the product manual for the ELISA format of your specific kit. Adenocarcinoma, Carcinoma, Hepatocellular, Cardiovascular Diseases, Disease Models, Animal, Fatty Liver, Inflammation, Kidney Diseases, Liver Diseases, Liver Neoplasms, Proteinuria are some of the diseases may be linked to Human ANGPTL3 PicoKine ELISA Kit. ANGPTL3 also interacts with the following gene(s): APOA5, GPIHBP1, LPL, TIE1. The following patways have been known to be associated with this gene. Brain, Kidney, Liver, Lung, Muscle tissues are correlated with this protein.
